Roof Doctor NM
20 years in NM roofing · Verifiable certifications

Credentials & experience.

Everything on this page is verifiable — the certifications with the issuing bodies, the operator history with the companies that employed me. I am not a licensed contractor because I don't perform contracting work. That is intentional (see Independence Policy).

The inspector
20 years in New Mexico roofing.

Former Operations Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager at $10–25M/yr NM roofing companies. HAAG, IKO, GAF, and FAA Part 107 trained.

Independent since 2026 — I don't sell roofs, I sell reports.

Operator history
Held every leadership seat in a NM roofing company.
  • · Operations Manager — running production, safety, and warranty for a $10–25M/yr NM roofer.
  • · Sales Manager — writing scopes, training reps, and closing insurance work.
  • · General Manager — full P&L, hiring, and vendor relationships.

I have sat in every seat a contractor could put me in. That is why I know exactly where corners get cut on your roof — and how to spec a job so they can't be.

Areas of focus

What I inspect — in plain English.

Descriptors, not credentials. This is the work I actually do across New Mexico — no invented titles.

Residential roof inspections

Asphalt shingle, tile, metal, flat & low-slope systems for NM homes.

Commercial low-slope systems

TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and tar & gravel — small commercial + multi-family.

Storm, hail & wind damage assessment

Post-storm documentation graded on the HAAG scale carriers recognize.

Insurance claim documentation

Adjuster-ready reports, photo evidence, and scope alignment with policy language.

Building envelope & flashing

Chimney, skylight, wall-to-roof, and penetration analysis where most leaks start.

Forensic post-failure investigations

When a roof failed under warranty, who's responsible and what's the paper trail.

Drone-assisted inspection

FAA Part 107 remote pilot — safe imaging of steep, tall, or damaged planes.

Pre-listing & pre-purchase inspections

Realtor-friendly reports that close deals instead of blowing them up.

HOA compliance inspections

Written condition reports formatted for HOA architectural committees.

New-construction punch-list

Third-party verification before you accept the final draw.

Post-repair verification

Confirming the fix matches the scope you paid for.

Portfolio inspections

Multi-property landlords and small commercial operators — bulk pricing.

Manufacturer & distributor training

Trained in-person by the manufacturers whose systems go on NM roofs.

Attended in person across the Southwest — the vast majority in Albuquerque and around New Mexico. Most manufacturers do not issue individual certificates for product-knowledge sessions, rep-led trainings, or distributor days, so these are listed truthfully as training attended — never as "certified." That distinction matters and we keep it strict.

Why this matters for you: when I write your report, I know each manufacturer's actual install spec, warranty triggers, and the shortcuts that void coverage. That's what turns a "looks fine" walk into a scope of work a contractor can't pad.
