- GB-2 or GB-98 covers residential roofing in New Mexico. If they only hold a handyman (GB-3) license, they're not legally allowed to reroof your home. Verify at the NM RLD site — it's free and takes 30 seconds.
- For a residential reroof in NM, 10–30% is standard. Anything above 50% up front — especially cash-only — is a walk-away red flag. Reputable NM roofers finance the materials and get paid on completion.
- No. Anyone can print a PDF. Call the insurance agent listed on it and confirm the policy is active and lists roofing work. Also verify Workers Comp separately with the NM WCA — GL alone doesn't cover a fall.
