Three roofers wanted $32k after the June hailstorm. Roof Doctor NM walked the roof, took 84 photos, and said the hail was cosmetic. Saved me from a fraudulent claim.

From last month's session
How often should I really inspect my roof in ABQ?
Twice a year: once in April before monsoon, once in October before winter freeze-thaw. Plus after any storm with hail or 60+ mph gusts.
Is 'silver coat' worth it on a flat roof?
On mod-bit or built-up, yes — every 4–5 years buys you a decade. On TPO or EPDM, no, the membrane already reflects. Save your money.
My insurance denied hail damage. What now?
Get a second opinion in writing (we do this free), then file a supplemental claim with photos. About 40% of denials get reversed with the right documentation.
Can I really trust a 50-year shingle warranty?
Materials only, prorated, and only if the roof was installed to spec. That last part is where 80% of warranty claims die. Ask us to walk you through the actual document.

About the monthly Q&A
- First-come first-answered, then anything that looks like a pattern across multiple submitters. If your question doesn't get picked live, I still reply by email within a week.
- No catch. I don't sell installs — I sell independent inspections. The Q&A is how I keep the phone from ringing at 9pm about stuff I could've answered once in public.
- Yes — text them to the number on the contact page. Photo questions get answered fastest because I can actually see what you're dealing with.
