Ponding water on flat roofs
Water that sits more than 48 hours after rain is the #1 enemy of every flat roof.
Most ABQ flat roofs are designed with a slight slope toward scuppers or drains. Over time, that slope settles, the drains clog, or a low spot develops.
Fix the drainage before you replace the roof. We add tapered insulation, re-pitch scuppers, or build crickets to break up ponds.
Ponding voids most manufacturer warranties on TPO and modified bitumen. If you've got standing water 48 hours after a storm, it's a warranty issue, not just an aesthetic one.
