An insurance-ready hail damage report from an inspector who doesn't sell roofs. Photo-documented strikes, hail-size correlation, code references, and a written scope your carrier will actually accept.
Hail-strike density mapping per roof slope (test squares)
Soft-metal collateral evidence: gutters, vents, flashings
NOAA storm-date correlation for your property address
Photo documentation formatted for adjuster review
Code references (2018 IRC) for repair-vs-replace determination
Independent report — no incentive to invent damage
Hands-on walk of every accessible plane with a chalk-marked test square per slope. Collateral inspection of gutters, downspouts, vents, HVAC caps, and window screens. NOAA/NWS storm-date verification for your address. Insurance-grade PDF with per-slope strike counts, photos, and code-referenced repair vs replace determination.
Homeowners after a monsoon or spring hail event who want the truth before a claim. Anyone whose claim was denied or lowballed and needs an appeal report. Adjusters requesting a neutral second opinion. Buyers under contract on a home in a recent hail path.
Free On-Site Walk-Around — $149 (verbal, photos, no written report) Standard Written Report — $349 Detailed Insurance-Ready — $649 (recommended for claims) Denial Appeal / Litigation Grade — $1,500+ Most first-time hail claims win with the $649 Detailed tier. Denied claims and litigation need the top tier.
No. Storm-chasers are paid to produce a claim, not to find truth. Carriers know this and increasingly deny their reports. An independent inspection is exactly what an adjuster wants to see — because I have zero incentive to invent damage that isn't there.
On asphalt: round bruises with granule loss and exposed mat, roughly the diameter of the hail. On metal: dents in soft metals (gutters, vents, flashings) before the panels. On tile: cracks radiating from a central impact. Cosmetic granule loss without mat exposure is usually not a covered claim.
Within 30 days if possible — most NM carriers have a 12-month reporting window but the sooner you document, the harder it is for the carrier to argue prior damage.
$349 Standard written report is enough for most claims. $649 Detailed Insurance-Ready is what I recommend for denied claims or appeals — includes hail-strike density mapping and code references.
Per-unit re-flash scoring.
Factory & warehouse membrane + equipment audit.
Multi-family portfolio pricing and capital plans.
RTU flashing and vibration leak source audit.
I've watched too many neighbors sign contracts they didn't understand for roofs they didn't need. That stops with a written report they own.
